What is a Slot?

A slot is a thin opening or groove in something, such as the one you put mail through at the post office or in a piece of furniture. The term is also used to describe a position on a casino game reel or video machine, especially one where the symbols must line up exactly on a payline for the bettor to receive payouts. Most slot machines have a pay table that lists for each combination of symbols and number of coins bet how much the bettor will win. The pay tables are typically listed on or above and below the wheel area of the machine, while some video slot machines display them when the player presses a “pay table” button or touch the screen.

A T-slot table is an extended work surface for your universal testing system that allows you to secure components and structures not held by standard grips. Commercially available T-slot nuts are slid into the inverted T-slots that run front-to-back and side-to-side on the table and bolts or studs can be threaded into them.
